Permanent Collection

Welcome to Selasar Sunaryo Art Space Collection.

Selasar Sunaryo Art Space (SSAS) is a not-for profit organsiation that works to develop arts and culture in Indonesia. Aside from presenting temporary Contemporary exhibitions, SSAS also has a permanent collection.

The artworks in the collection reflect various themes and trends in Indonesian Art. The Permanent Collection includes masterpieces by senior Indonesian artists and the work of Contemporary and emerging artists. The Collection also focuses on artworks and artists who have been influential in artistic practice in Bandung and whose artworks reflect artistic developments in Bandung.

Drs Sunaryo, the private benefactor of the gallery and leading Indonesian Artist, established the gallery as a space to exhibit his own work and to support and develop emerging artists. As such, the upper level Gallery displays a changing exhibition of Sunaryo's works. The Permanent Collection, owned by the Selasar Sunaryo Foundation, includes a comprehensive selection of Sunaryo's works, personally donated by Sunaryo to the gallery.
